Annapolis Maryland

The city of Annapolis was incorporated in 1708 at the mouth of the Severn River on the Chesapeake Bay. It is the capital of Maryland and the seat of Anne Arundel County. It is home to the Naval Academy and St. Johns College. It briefly served as the capitol of the United States from 1783-1784. General George Washington resigned his commission as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army there on December 23, 1783.

Aside from its rich history, Annapolis is a beautiful historic maritime town filled with sailboats, quaint shops, well preserved colonial architecture and old pubs and taverns. There are also a lot of ghosts wandering around. Annapolis Ghost Tours visits 3 haunted pubs in Annapolis over a 2 – 2.5 hour period. (And the three bars change from time to time).

All pub crawl participants must be 21 years or older. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Check their website for details.

  1. Wow, this sounds like a really fun event! My boyfriend loves ghost and zombie stuff, especially when he started watching The Walking Dead. I think he’d love a little tour like this. Who knows, it may even get him spooked!
